just a thought...but obviously its gonna be :

2 Heros for each core profession = 10
+2 Heros for each Faction profession = 4
+1 Hero for each NF profession = 2

+ the mysterious "Master of Whispers" ??? (if he isnt necro)

= 17 (or in the other case 16) Heros

Actually, you are (obviously) missing something there. First, two times 6 equals 12, not 10. Second, Anet has never stated any of the numbers you've just listed.

ok heres my tought on the old chars crossing over: theres some professions that have two heroes. this is probably done because the new characters get one out of the two first and then get the other ones while the old chars get the other heroes and later on can obtain the heroes you Elona character received first. thats just what i'm thinking.

Actually there are already 3 rangers confirmed and no rits confirmed. So I dont think theres gonna be 2 of every profession when theres not even one ritualists hero revealed yet.

I think Attoron and Olias are the same, as are Kerak and Jin or Magrid (something like that anyway).
I saw these Heroes pop up in other forum posts and in both cases the source was non-english speaking (regional name differences) and accompanied by images which showed these heroes to have the same skins. I guess we'll see in 5 days or so....

1. sorry, i misstyped: 2xcore + 2x factions are 12 right.
2. Rit and Assa Heros were confirmed by a english game magazin with pic but without names (forgot game mag title)

3. not 3 rangers are confirmed: Kerak = Acolyte Jin (found a picture proof)

Default Jin or Sousuke?

Which one will you be picking?
-Jin, the Ranger Hero
-Sousuke, The Elementalist Hero?

Note that Wiki says there will also be 2 more Ranger Heroes, and only 1 Elementalist, so I say Sousuke, any other opinions?

You'll get both eventually, after you finish the game.

I would suggest picking up the Rangers early so that you can level up pets for them as you go. Leveling up pets for them after completing the game does not seem very appealing.

Peace,

hmm lets see,

Jin, the Ranger Hero: auto posion, condition spreader + Computer controlled split second interupts.

or

Sousuke, The Elementalist Hero: AoE? Air/Fire Spike? Flare spammer? - Personally i feel it may require abit too much micro manegement on part of the player for a Elementalist Hero to be worthwhile ( i would still prefer a human Ele as is true for monks if from friends/guild.)

But having said that, i would take Zhed over Sousuke any day. Besides Jin have a much cooler bio:
Quote:
When Jin was a young girl growing up on the coast of Cantha, her family was slain by monstrous creatures in the dead of night. From that moment on, she trained as an archer, determined that the forces of darkness would never take her by surprise again. For hours, she silently practiced with her bow, taking some small measure of comfort in the sound of a bowstring releasing or the menace of an arrow in flight. Even before she joined the Zaishen Order, she was a determined and deadly adversary, and their instruction has made her even more dangerous.

Traveling with others makes her feel a little safer, but she considers the concept of "safety in numbers" a delusion. In the end, she knows it's her own skill that means the difference between life and death. She does not care about rank or status in the Zaishen Order. Each day she systematically eliminates another monster threatening Elona, she finds it a little easier to survive one more night of troubled sleep.
OMG who can resist a dark sexy chick like that.

As for Sousuke:

Quote:
This guy talks too much. Sousuke always has advice, wisecracks, and commentary on his current situation. His amused outlook on life, unrestrained curiousity, and quirky sense of humor are rare for a Zaishen warrior, but he backs it up with a flamboyant, explosive fighting style. A mission is only a failure, he believes, if you don't learn anything from it... and Sousuke doesn't care much for failure. As a Zaishen warrior, he insists he's one of the deadliest combatants in the world, and he has a compulsion to prove it again and again. If that's not enough, he'll tell you, again and again.
No one likes a talkative loud mouthed smarty pants do we.

Five words counting the "Three words" part .

I generally prefer elementalist over rangers though; so I'll probably pick Jin first.

I'm going with rangers since ele's have weaker armor and tend to die while under the infulence of a being a hench bot.

I'll be using faction to unlock Magebane Shot and taking advantage of the AI reaction time for an interupter. Jin FTW!

My only planned Nightfall character will be an Ele so it will be Jin the Rnager for me. Besides, I have all ranger skills unlocked

Ranger. I love rangers, plus they can become interrupters.
